Self-sacrifice 02/25/2011
 
I am amazed at how many places have ongoing protests around the world.  Protests aimed at removing leaders from office.  Protests attempting to force change in laws and to promote freedom.  Protests…Protests…Protests.   In many of these places, people are risking their very lives to voice their opinions and to promote change.  Many have already died or have been injured in clashes between those in power and those protesting that power.  One leader has vowed to “fight to the last bullet” in his resistance before allowing the “mob” to remove him from power.

I have to wonder, is there anything that I would protest for (or against) if I thought there was a chance that I would be killed?  What do I stand for?  What do I believe so fully…so completely that I would sacrifice my life for?
